Technique Challenge #49 - Faux Metal
Here's this weeks challenge for Monday's Mix it up - technique challenge. Faux Metal -
Directions:
1. Cut a piece of cardstock the size you want your focal piece to be.
2. Cover with versamark
3. Add embossing powder (use a dark color or a metallic)
4. Heat with your heat gun
5. Repeat steps 2 & 3 at least 4 times
6. Choose your stamp (solid stamps work best) and cover in versamark
7. Heat up your covered embossed panel till it's warm again and then stamp your image into it. The versamark will allow the stamp to come away clean.
8. Finish your card or project.
Here's my example:

Stash Challenge!
Good morning ladies!
Today's stash challenge is aimed at using up those little scraps of designer paper that you have laying around. I'd like to see a card or scrapbook page that uses the paper piecing technique. Just stamp your image on different background papers and cut and paste the parts together rather than coloring them.... For example, my fish card has the fish cut from one piece of paper, the bowl from another and the balloon from yet another. I can't wait to see what you come up with!!
