Stash Challenge #19

This week's stash challenge has two parts.

#1 Use a stamp on your card that hasn't ever seen ink.

#2 Use any of the sketch or color challenges on the board to make your card.

I used my new set from CC Designs - "It's My Birthday" - and combined it with Sketch challenge #113. Isn't it adorable?? (If I do say so myself... )

Technique Challenge #49 - Faux Metal

Here's this weeks challenge for Monday's Mix it up - technique challenge. Faux Metal -

Directions:

1. Cut a piece of cardstock the size you want your focal piece to be.

2. Cover with versamark

3. Add embossing powder (use a dark color or a metallic)

4. Heat with your heat gun

5. Repeat steps 2 & 3 at least 4 times

6. Choose your stamp (solid stamps work best) and cover in versamark

7. Heat up your covered embossed panel till it's warm again and then stamp your image into it. The versamark will allow the stamp to come away clean.

Photo Challenge #9

It's the first day of Spring and the world is changing all around us. So, take a picture this week showing change.

It can be the changing of the seasons - flowers sprouting and blooming, trees budding...

It can be a change in your life - Have you quit smoking, lost weight, moved, had a baby...

A change in your style - Never used to wear red but then you couldn't resist those red shoes?

No matter how big or small, change is an important part of our lives, and it happens every day so now is a good time to document it!

Be sure to upload to the photo challenge gallery, and link us up in the challenge post so we can leave you some well deserved love!

Have fun!

Stash Challenge!

Good morning ladies!

Today's stash challenge is aimed at using up those little scraps of designer paper that you have laying around. I'd like to see a card or scrapbook page that uses the paper piecing technique. Just stamp your image on different background papers and cut and paste the parts together rather than coloring them.... For example, my fish card has the fish cut from one piece of paper, the bowl from another and the balloon from yet another. I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Be sure to upload your card into the Stash Challenge Gallery on A Shade of Blue. Can't wait to see your creations!
